Someone close to Kim Chiu clarified this issue
A source contradicted the statement of the source of talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz about the breakup between Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu and Kapuso actor Xian Lim.
Issues surrounding the breakup between Kim and Xian continue to circulate. Previously, Ogie shared on his Showbiz Update vlog that his source revealed how the breakup happened.
It was said that Xian asked Kim to cook his favorite steak and the latter did. While they were eating, the actor allegedly said out of the blue that they should break up. It was alleged that Xian said that it was because Kim’s family and some of her friends were against their relationship.
“So no’ng kinakain na nila ‘yong steak, hanggang sa, dumayalog si Xian Lim, ang sabi ‘Tapusin na natin ‘yong ating relasyon. Parang wala rin namang patutunguhan. Parang ayaw rin naman sa akin ng family mo, at ng iba mong friends,’” Ogie shared what his source revealed.
However, in a recent article by showbiz writer Salve Asis in Pang-Masa, a source close to Kim Chiu debunked the claim from Ogie Diaz’s source.
The said source laughed and asked where the rumor came from that it was Xian who initiated the breakup. “Ayon sa isang malapit kay Kim diumano’y mutual decision ang naganap na hiwalayan sa KimXi,” Asis shared what her source revealed.
The source defending Kim said that the former couple had a conversation and they mutually agreed without conflict that they would end their relationship with consideration for their careers, as well. With this, the source asked how could it be possible that Xian was the one who initiated the breakup.
Meanwhile, rumor has it that Xian Lim is in a relationship now with film producer Iris Lee. They have been spotted together many times. As of this writing, the Kapuso actor has not released a statement yet on rumors linking him to the firm producer.
