Sarah Geronimo showed appreciation to her Mommy Divine
Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo honored her mother Mommy Divine Geronimo at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards.
Sarah is making history as the first Filipina celebrity who became a Global Force honoree for the 2024 Billboard Women in Music. Fans are gushing over this milestone in her career. She was joined by her husband Kapuso actor Matteo Guidicelli when she attended the event at YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California.
During the red carpet event, Sarah was asked what it means for her to be a Global Force recipient and have that global impact as an artist.
She said that it was unexpected for her to receive this kind of recognition. The Popstar Royalty said that being a Global Force honoree means having the power to influence other people but it also comes with a responsibility.
“You have to be mindful about the materials you put out there,” Sarah Geronimo said, adding that one should create change and positivity.
When asked what she could say about being in an event that champions women, Sarah said, “Women are beautiful, women are strong.” She also mentioned that now that she is married, she now understands that marriage can be difficult sometimes.
The red carpet correspondents laughed at this and pointed at her husband Matteo who was behind the camera. Sarah said that men are beautiful as well because of the way they understand how the minds of women work.
“They cope up with everything that goes on our minds as women,” she said. Sarah also highlighted mothers all over the world. At this point, she mentioned her mother.
“Shout out to my mother, Mommy Divine Geronimo, you are the best, you are my hero. I love you very much,” she said. Sarah Geronimo also said that she can’t imagine herself being a mother and she appreciated all the sacrifices that mothers make for their children.
