Veteran TV host Willie Revillame allegedly had this attitude during the prayer rally in Cebu and this was criticized by veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin.
Willie joined a prayer rally in the Queen City of the South but allegedly, he displayed inappropriate behavior during the event. Based on the article in Balita, this was one of the topics that Cristy discussed on her show with her co-host Romel Chika.
The veteran showbiz writer said that many people noticed that Willie made the prayer rally like a noontime show. For many years, the TV host has been concentrating on doing noontime and variety shows.
Cristy Fermin expressed a dislike for what Willie Revillame allegedly did as many people texted her about this. Those who messaged her criticized what the veteran host did.
“Ang dami-daming tume-text sa akin at tumatawag. ‘Ano ba naman ‘yan. Si Willie Revillame…ginawang noontime show ‘yong dapat ay prayer rally at uminit na naman ang ulo,’” the veteran showbiz writer shared.
Then, Cristy asked Romel Chika if he had watched that and she said, “Nakakaloka!” Romel said that he watched it and it seemed like Willie felt that he was in the studio of his show. He said that Willie was teaching the staff, including the people controlling the lights.
“Tapos may sinabihan siyang babae: ‘Umalis ka dyan namali ako ng ano sa ‘yo. May bracelet ka pa.’ Alam mo, Romel, nakakahiya kasi prayer rally ‘yon. Dapat hindi niya ginawang [salawsaw] ‘yong show. Nakakaloka. Akalain mo ipahiya ‘yong lightsmen,” Cristry shared.
With this, Cristy said that if Willie pushes through with his plan to run for senator in 2025, this kind of attitude he has will definitely affect his candidacy.
To recall, in a prayer rally in Davao last January, Willie Revillame expressed he is ready to run for Senator. This received mixed reactions from people, including Cristy Fermin who slammed him for his political intentions.
