Kim Chiu shared her thoughts on the topic of past relationships
Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu admitted that she is not very keen on giving second chances to a past relationship.
Kim’s love life is quite a known topic in showbiz. She had a 12-year relationship with Kapuso actor Xian Lim who started to be her loveteam partner. They both confirmed before the end of 2023 that their relationship ended.
The former couple did not divulge the reason for their breakup and several speculations surfaced alleging the cause of their separation.
Both Kim Chiu and Xian Lim’s posts and statements somehow create more speculations after their breakup, just like the recent social media posts of the Kapuso actor.
Xian shared a post about authenticity and being fake. This came after his recent photos with his rumored girlfriend film producer Iris Lee surfaced online.
Kim’s recent statement on the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime also caught people’s attention. Based on the article in PEP, the Chinita Princess expressed that she is not fond of giving chances to an ex-partner.
During the EXpecially For You segment, the searchee said that it is fine to let go an ex-partner and if they are really meant to be, destiny will bring them back together. With this, Kim’s co-host Vhong Navarro asked her if she is also ready to give a second chance.
“Nag-a-agree ka rin ba dun, Kim, na kung para sa iyo, e, babalik siya? Di ba, nilaban mo naman, tapos nawala? Pero kapag gusto pang bumalik, papayagan mo pa bang bumalik?” Vhong asked the actress.
Kim said that you really have to fight for someone you love but when it comes to giving a second chance to someone who left her is a different case.
“Sa pagmamahal, ilalaban mo naman talaga. [Pero] ako kasi yung taong kapag iniwan na ako…Bakit mo ako iniwan, di ba? So, hindi na,” the actress said.
Kim added that people have different views on this matter and that it does not mean that if she does not believe in second chances, this is also the same with other people’s point of view.
She also said that no one can really know what would be the decision when that situation comes. “Today iba ang sagot mo, kahapon iba, bukas iba rin, di ba?” she explained.
