Jaya Road Incident En Route to Regine Velasquez’s California Concert

JAYA – Singer Jaya Gotidoc shared a video where she was seen being transported on a stretcher, along with footage revealing the damage sustained by her car in the aftermath of the accident.

In July 2021, Jaya parted ways with the Kapamilya network and her It’s Showtime family as she chose to relocate to the United States with her family. This decision was a tough one for her, but she sought signs to guide her.

The Soul Diva mentioned that once the decision was made, they immediately found a place to live, and her husband Gary Gotidoc quickly found a job. Jaya emphasized that she harbors no regrets about leaving her career in the Philippines and starting anew in the US.

Jaya Gotidoc revealed that she and her friends were involved in a car crash while en route to Regine Velasquez’s concert in the United States. Through an Instagram update, the 53-year-old singer shared a video depicting her being transported on a stretcher, along with showcasing the damage incurred by their vehicle in the accident.

Additionally, she included a passage from the Book of Isaiah, stating, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

“On a ride from Sacramento, California, on the way to Graton Casino to see my friends and watch Regine V’s concert… when all of a sudden we get into a car collision,” Jaya recounted.

“My friend Dr. Josephine Weber was driving and with us was Auntie Merly Escolta (her cousin) when suddenly we got hit from the back,” she continued.

Jaya reassured her followers that she was “doing well,” while mentioning that her friends are still undergoing medical examinations. She expressed confidence that they will recover, relying on God’s grace. “They will be alright, by God’s grace. Thank you Jesus for sending us divine protection and covering us with your blood. It could’ve been super worse. I’m glad Doc and Auntie Merls are okay.”

“Please wear your seatbelts at all times when you are in a vehicle, especially if you’re a back seat passenger,” said Jaya.
