She shared an interesting approach to overcome this feeling, advising not to view Fashion Week events as a competition. Heart emphasized her unique perspective, stating, “In fairness to me, I have never seen anyone whose gown I wished to burn. I’m one of the smallest there. I don’t look like I can harm anyone. I enjoy it because even if they give you a set of outfits to wear, it’s how you wear it that will make a difference. You’ll never look the same as the others.”
In situations where the people around you seem unfriendly, Heart recommends maintaining confidence and adopting a character. She recounted her encounters with prominent figures in the fashion industry, highlighting Bella Hadid as exceptionally sweet. Despite not having a conversation, Heart recalled a moment on the runway when Bella caught her looking and broke character to share a smile. Heart described her as “super pleasant.” She also praised Gigi Hadid for her similar demeanor, even apologizing when they accidentally bumped into each other. Heart also mentioned an encounter with Kendall Jenner, noting that she seemed like a decent person.
Heart Evangelista expressed deep gratitude for the attention she has received, particularly from companies expressing interest in having her as a brand endorser. She admitted to not expecting people to appreciate her penchant for being frivolous and vain. “I never thought people would appreciate my kaartehan (being frivolous and vain)! The biggest lesson here is that it’s important to keep doing what you love. This will eventually take you places. It could eventually be something big. This is also proof to me that if you’re in a very difficult situation, just hang in there, and you will survive. You will make it,” said Heart.
