Daniel Padilla talked about his upcoming projects
Supreme Idol Daniel Padilla teased his future project with OPM rock icon Ely Buendia after he renewed his contract with ABS-CBN.
Daniel has been under Star Magic, the talent management company of the Kapamilya network, for 15 years. Amid the pandemic and the non-renewal of its franchise, Daniel remained with his home network and this is something that ABS-CBN executives thanked him for.
After the contract signing on February 12, new projects lining up for him were revealed. Based on the article in ABS-CBN News, the Supreme Idol will have a musical collab with the former Eraserhead frontman.
“I’ll have something with Ely Buendia. May mga gagawin. Secret pa. Secret muna,” Daniel Padilla shared. Aside from being an actor and product endorser, Daniel also ventured into music.
He has released songs in the past and did sold-out concerts and shows here in the Philippines and abroad. This year, he will give more attention to his career in music. The actor also expressed excitement to return to the concert stage.
However, before doing concerts, Daniel wants to create music first that will showcase his new sound and his current vibe. “Madali lang magput-up ng concert. New music muna!” the Supreme Idol said.
Daniel also confirmed his upcoming movie with Zanjoe Marudo. It is the buddy-comedy movie Nang Mapagod si Kamatayan. He shared that he really loves this because of its sharp script and storyline. Another project that is pushing through is his film with John Arcilla titled The Guest.
During the contract signing event, Diamond Star Maricel Soriano was one of the people who gave a message to Daniel Padilla. In her message, she mentioned that she hopes the movie that she wants to do with the actor will materialize someday.
The Kapamilya star shared that he and Maricel talked about working on a project together but this is still under development.
