The series of Jillian Ward received a lot of complaints
Kapuso series Abot Kamay Na Pangarap starring Jillian Ward has the most number of complaints, Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chair Lala Sotto revealed.
The said series started airing in September 2022. This was based on Carlos Siguion-Reyna’s 1996 movie Abot-Kamay ang Pangarap. Jillian is joined by Carmina Villarroe, Richard Yap, Dominic Ochoa, Pinky Amador, and many more.
It is a high-rated show as many viewers have been following the life and struggles of Doc Analyn played by Jillian.
However, during a recent interview, based on the article in Pang-Masa, MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto shared the series of Jillian Ward has the most number of complaints. However, she did not divulge what complaints were made against the Kapuso series.
Sotto also shared that they called the production teams of Kapamilya primetime series Batang Quiapo ang Kapuso primetime series Black Rider for a meeting because of some complaints.
The MTRCB chair said that this kind of meeting with the production teams of different team happens almost everyday. “Normal naman ‘yun dito sa MTRCB. Almost everyday, may mga production or show kaming pinapatawag. If not almost, it’s really everyday,” she shared.
Sotto said that after the two-week suspension that was implemented against Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime, other TV shows became “mabait” and the production teams became more cooperative.
The chairwoman also mentioned that she watches It’s Showtime, especially the segment Expecially For You. “Nakakaiyak kasi ‘yung ibang kuwento,” she shared.
Meanwhile, Jillian Ward’s TikTok video in which a guy in Navotas gave her an engagement ring went viral. During the parade, a male fan was trying to catch the actress’s attention. Then, the guy gave her a what supposed to be a ring but it was a washer used to fasten screws. This made the actress laugh but she proudly flexed that “ring.”
