SGA’s Kevin Quiambao Receives “Special” Offer from UAE

UAE Wants Kevin Quiambao to Be Naturalized Over His Impressive Performance

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed its interest in naturalizing Strong Group Athletics (SGA) player Kevin Quiambao.

Kevin Quiambao once again played a starring role in Strong Group Athletics’ recent victory at the 33rd Dubai International Basketball Championship. Despite being part of a team filled with NBA players, Quiambao emerged as the top offensive contributor for Strong Group Athletics.

Standing at 6 feet 6 inches, the De La Salle University standout showcased his brilliance in their 95-73 triumph over Beirut in the early hours of Wednesday, Manila time. Quiambao contributed 20 points, secured four rebounds, and recorded a steal during the game.

Quiambao’s outstanding all-around performance has captured the attention of the United Arab Emirates, leading to their interest in naturalizing him. Strong Group Athletics’ head coach, Charles Tiu, confirmed this development, emphasizing the organization’s full support for the talented forward.

As the game progressed, Strong Group Athletics built on this momentum, establishing a lead of up to 22 points. Unfortunately, JD Cagulangan suffered an apparent ankle injury at the 9:23 mark of the fourth quarter after a collision with Beirut’s Sergio El Darwich, somewhat tarnishing Strong Group’s otherwise near-perfect night.

Cagulangan had been delivering his best performance of the tournament, contributing 12 points and six assists in approximately 17 minutes of play. The trio of McKenzie Moore (19 points, eight assists, and five rebounds), Jordan Heading (15 points), and Dwight Howard (11 points and nine rebounds) once again showcased their consistent contributions in a strong team effort.
