Ian Veneracion allegedly asked this hefty amount for a short public appearance
Seasoned actor Ian Veneracion was criticized for allegedly asking for a P500,000 talent fee for a 2-hour parade in Tarlac.
Director-scriptwriter Ronaldo Carballo shared in a recent Facebook post a story that a talent coordinator told him. It was said that Ian was requested by the organizers of the Tarlac Festival to be part of the parade that will be held on the last Sunday of January.
When the road manager was contacted, the demand was P500K for the public appearance that Ian would do that would last for two hours only.
Other demands were stated like, if other celebrities will be invited, Ian Veneracion should not be included in the same float with them. The actor should have his own float.
The road manager allegedly also said that 50 percent of the payment should be given upon contract signing and the other half should be given before Ian would go up to the float.
Carballo shared that these demands from Ian’s camp were not a problem for the client because the talent coordinator has been doing this job for Tarlac for a long time. When the talent coordinator reported this to the Tarlac Festival organizers, they agreed with the P500K talent fee but they couldn’t let out an additional P100,000 if the event will exceed another hour after the two-hour deal.
The talent coordinator told the road manager that the client already refused to continue the deal with Ian because of the additional P100K per hour. With that, the RM said that the actor already agreed without the additional payment.
“Pero sabi ng Talent coordinator, ‘Hindi bale na po. Kinukontak ko na po si Piolo Pascual as replacement ni Ian,’” Carballo shared who believed that a P500K talent fee for a two-hour appearance is simply too much.
Carballo said to the talent coordinator that perhaps it was the RM who demanded that hefty amount. The talent coordinator has this answer, “Hindi. Si Ian talaga yun. Na-experience ko na rin si Ian noon. Talagang makwenta sya at nagbibilang talaga sya ng oras.”
As of writing, Ian Veneracion has not released yet a statement regarding this matter.
