Melai Cantiveros is featured in Preview Magazine
Kapamilya comedienne Melai Cantiveros is now a cover girl as she was featured in the latest edition of Preview Magazine.
From being a Pinoy Big Brother housemate and becoming a winner of that season, Melai was able to pave her way to stardom as one of the funniest showbiz personalities of her generation.
Her natural way of making people laugh is really bankable and fans love her humor. After a decade, from her humble beginnings, she became an inspiration to many aspiring comedians.
Just recently, Melai Cantiveros added a new feather to her cap. She is officially a cover girl now. Preview Magazine unveiled her as its January 2024 cover star.
Talking about her viral “chicken nuggets” video with her kids, Melai said that it was just their normal daily lives and people found that funny. She likened the public to writers of PBB because they were the ones creating stories from their day-to-day routines.
“Buang talaga itong mga ‘to. Talagang tuwang-tuwa sila sa amin,” the celebrity from General Santos City said.
Melai admitted that before entering showbiz, she could already describe herself as “kiat kiat” or very carefree. That personality is loved by many. After more than a decade in the entertainment industry, the comedienne has completely understood what she could offer to her audience.
Over the years, Melai has popularized many terms that caught the attention of many people and made them laugh such as “kuan.” She does not know if she has a natural humor but she is thankful that she would make people laugh even with a simple word or gesture.
“Ako talaga, hindi ko alam kung natural [yung humor ko]. Thank you, Lord, kung natural talaga,” she ruminates. “Magsalita lang ako o gumalaw lang ako, matatawa na [ang mga tao],” Melai Cantiveros said.
One of the recent funny moments that Melai had was during an interview at the Asian Artist Awards last December and her speech when she accepted her Best Actor Award.
