Jennylyn Mercado and Xian Lim’s project finally pushed through

Jennylyn and Xian’s first project together is finally happening. The series was supposed to be the actor’s first Kapuso series after transferring to GMA in 2021. They already started the shoot for this but this was postponed.
It was because Jennylyn got pregnant. She had to take a break from showbiz and take care of her child with her husband Dennis Trillo.
This year, the shooting resumed. In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Jennylyn Mercado admitted that there was “hiyaan” between her and Xian Lim during the first days of the shooting.
Jennylyn said that when it comes to their chemistry, there was no big effort because Xian was exerting effort that they would have small talks as she has a shy personality.
“‘Di naman ako makikipag-close nang ganu’n pero na-appreciate ko ‘yung ganu’n kasi mahiyain din ako sa personal,” the actress shared. She added that she appreciates her leading man for doing this to create a bond with them.
With this, the actress said that it was easier for her to communicate, and act, and she was not that shy anymore. Xian added that Jennylyn has no choice about this because they had to effectively portray the intimacy between their characters as husband and wife.
“‘Yung mga magkayakap na agad, as husband and wife, natutulog together, and nag-uusap ng mga problema ng mga mag-asawa. So I think that also helped, aside from our mini kuwentuhan ni Jen, sinabak kami agad sa mga intimate scenes,” the actor said.
Previously, Jennylyn Mercado said in an interview that her comeback after a 2-year break, when she got pregnant, made her feel that she is like a newbie actress again.
