Sarah Geronimo is set to do two movies next year
Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo and A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz will have their reunion movie under Viva Films in 2024.
Sarah and John Lloyd’s first onscreen partnership was through the movie A Very Special Love in 2008. This was followed by another Star Cinema film You Changed My Life that was released in 2009.
In 2013, they did another movie together. It was the film It Takes A Man and A Woman. The last project they did was Finally Found Someone in 2017.
Last May, Sarah Geronimo shared a photo with John Lloyd Cruz. The meeting happened at Viva’s office. This sparked speculation that they were talking about their upcoming film.
Later on, it was revealed by Viva CEO Vincent Del Rosario III that it was Sarah who told them that she and John Lloyd would meet and the meeting happened at Viva’s office. He shared that over the years, Sarah and John Lloyd were keeping in touch.
Based on the article in Bandera, Sarah and John Lloyd’s reunion movie is titled Safe Space and it is set to be released in August next year. Viva has not released any details yet about this project but it already has a go signal.
Aside from this, the Popstar Royalty will also do a movie with her husband Matteo Guidicelli. It is a remake of the South Korean movie Wonderful Nightmare. It is a romantic comedy film.
Previously, Matteo expressed his excitement to do a project with his wife, if given a good material and it will be fit to Sarah’s schedule.
The couple only had one movie in the past. They starred in the film Catch Me, I’m In Love under Star Cinema back in 2011. Their tandem is known as AshMatt.
