Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes receive good reviews
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera has this reaction when asked about a possible Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2023 Best Actress Nomination for her.
Marian starred in the movie Rewind under Star Cinema with her husband Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes. This DongYan reunion film received good reviews from moviegoers.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Dingdong expressed how proud he is of his wife.
“I’m very, very happy. I’m very, very proud of my wife and co-actors and paano nilatag ito ni Direk Mae,” Dingdong said. He added that it is important to what the viewers will feel after watching the movie and the impact that it will have on them.
The Kapuso actor also said that there are a lot of lessons that can be taken from the movie and it will depend on the person who watched it.
Marian Rivera was asked in the same interview about the possibility of getting a Best Actress nomination for her performance. She laughed in response and gave her humble answer.
“Hindi ko alam! Basta maganda ang pelikula, maganda ang message, at ‘yun naman ang sinasabi namin lagi,” the Kapuso actress said. Marian added that the most important thing for her is to get messages from viewers about what they learned from the movie.
Marian’s previous leading role in a movie was back in 2014. It took several years before she made another movie where she played the main character. She admitted that there was a big adjustment that happened.
“Nag-adjust ako. 13 years eh… Marami kaming naging bonding together with Direk Mae, especially with Dong kapag kailangan niyang mag-break down [in certain scenes]. Nand’un ako for him,” she said.
Marian Rivera also shared that reading her character May, she can say that she can relate a lot when it comes to being submissive to her husband and setting aside everything for the family.
