Yayo Aguila recalls the last conversation she had with Ronaldo Valdez
Seasoned actress Yayo Aguila revealed that she was surprised to receive a call from the late veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez a few weeks ago.
Yayo is one of the artists who had the chance to work with Ronaldo. With the projects they worked together in the past, Yayo witnessed Ronaldo’s work ethic. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Yayo described the late veteran actor as “masayahin,” “sobrang chill,” and “tawa lang nang tawa.”
She also said that Ronaldo was a good man and a sweet person. It breaks her heart that the actor is now gone.
Yayo Aguila also shared that a few weeks before Ronaldo Valdez’s death, he called her. She said that at first, she missed his call. The actress was surprised and was thinking that the actor’s phone had been hacked and that it was not really him who called her.
“Tinanong ko pa yung isang best friend ni Melissa [Gibbs, anak ni Ronaldo] na kaibigan ko rin kung talagang si Tito Ron [yung tumawag],” she shared.
The veteran actor wanted to talk to him because he wanted to ask for the contact number of the person who could help him with his health problem. “He was searching for something,” the actress said.
When they talked, Yayo shared that she was happy because she is a fan of Ronaldo. At that time, the actress said that she did not notice that the actor was struggling when it comes to his health.
However, Ronaldo shared with her his health struggle but the actress said, “Mataas yung spirits niya talaga.” She added that the actor was looking for a treatment. Ronaldo told her that it was already difficult for him to walk.
“Sabi ko, ‘Wala naman sa hitsura.’ Sabi niya, ‘Hindi, medyo hirap na ako lumakad,’” the actress shared. Yayo Aguila gave the contact number that Ronaldo Valdez needed and she said that that the actor was happy at that time.
Based on the report from the Quezon City Police District, the actor was suffering from depression. It was also revealed by a source that he had Alzheimer’s disease.
