A source said something about the health condition of Ronaldo Valdez
The late veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez, as a source claimed, was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
Ronaldo’s death shocked the world of entertainment in the Philippines. Many celebrities and fans expressed sadness for losing a precious star like him in showbiz. His characters were loved by many, especially, the recent Lolo Sir role that he portrayed in the KathNiel series 2 Good 2 Be True.
Based on the initial report from the Quezon City Police District, which first confirmed that he passed away, the veteran actor was found dead by his driver inside his home.
He was on a chair, bloodied, and in one hand, he was holding a gun. Ronaldo Valdez had gunshot wounds on his right and left temple. Based on the report, the veteran actor was suffering from depression after he had surgery for prostate cancer back in December 2022.
Aside from that mental state, a source revealed that the veteran actor had Alzheimer’s disease, based on the article by entertainment writer Salve Asis in Pilipino Star Ngayon. “He had been suffering from Alzheimer’s, I was told by a friend of the family a while back,” the source shared.
Based on the explanation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia. This disease is progressive beginning with mild memory loss but it can lead to loss of the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to the environment.
As of this writing, the QCPD has not released yet the final report regarding the death of the veteran actor. However, it was reported just recently that people who were in his house will undergo ballistic and paraffin tests.
Ronaldo Valdez’s son Janno Gibbs requested the public to respect their privacy amid this challenging time in their family.
