Alden Richards reacted to being linked to the KathNiel breakup
Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards asserted that he does not want to get involved in the KathNiel issue.
To recall, following the confirmation that Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla had regarding their breakup, fans started to ship KathDen again. This was what fans called the tandem of Kathryn and Daniel when they did the 2019 blockbuster hit movie Hello, Love, Goodbye.
Previously, Alden was asked if he was willing to do the sequel. He said that he is very much open to continuing the story of Joy and Ethan as it is what fans like but it will still depend on the movie’s producer Star Cinema.
Following the KathNiel breakup, Kathryn Bernardo is being linked to Alden Richards. However, veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin stressed that even back when the two celebrities were doing the HLG movie, what they had never reached the courting stage.
In a recent interview posted on Very Wang YouTube channel, Alden was asked about being linked to the KathNiel breakup. With obvious irritation in his facial expression, he stressed that an issue against him is being done, so that the blame will be addressed at him.
“Wala pong ganun, hindi po yun totoo. I know my place in the industry and hindi po ako nakikisawsaw sa issue ng kung sino sino man,” Alden said.
The Kapuso actor was also asked if he reached out to Kathyrn as a friend to console her amid the breakup issue. He said that he has not done this yet. Alden pointed out that it is Kathryn’s personal life and when they were doing the HLG movie, he had a principle that he would not intervene in whatever was happening between Kathryn and Daniel. It is his respect for them that made him do that.
“Hindi ko na nai-involve and sarili ko with this issue kasi malaki na po siya as it is,” Alden Richards stressed.
