Ellen Adarna shared a screenshot of messages she received from a bank
Cebuana celebrity Ellen Adarna revealed that someone tried to hack her credit but was not able to have a successful transaction.
Ellen is one of the wealthiest female celebrities in the Philippines. Even before she entered the Philippine entertainment industry, her clan in Cebu was also considered wealthy.
Despite her wealth and the things she possesses, Ellen said in a previous statement that she is not fond of flexing her luxury items. She said that she has several luxury stuff but since she is not a fashion influencer, there is no need for her to showcase these on her social media posts.
With her wealth, someone wanted to take advantage. Based on the article in Balita, Ellen Adarna shared a screenshot of messages she got from a bank where she saved her money.
It was said that she had a transaction using her BDO Platinum Mastercard credit card but it was needed for her to reply if that transaction was done by her. With that, the hacker did not successfully access her account.
In the caption of her post, Ellen slammed the hacker/scammer. “Retrograde in full force. Sana all hacker/scammer nakapag-shopping na ako wala pa,” she wrote.
Previously, actress Arci Munoz also had a similar experience. She shared her horror story that someone stole her credit card while on a business class trip from Japan. Arci said that at first, she did not notice that anything was missing from her things and she was not suspicious as the man was dressed formally and they were in a business class section of the plane.
A few days later, she was notified by her bank that her credit card was used in Ho Chi Min, Vietnam, and Jakarta, Indonesia to purchase items. She immediately reported this to the bank.
