Allegedly Bobot Mortiz hates John Lloyd Cruz
How true is it that director Bobot Mortiz has “galit” to A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz because of what he allegedly did in their past show?
When John Lloyd decided to do a project with GMA Network, it was a sitcom titled Happy ToGetHer. This featured several Kapamilya stars and this clicked to the avid Kapuso viewers. The show first aired in December 2021.
His network transfer became controversial because he has been a contract artist of ABS-CBN’s Star Magic for more than two decades.
His first Kapuso project was directed by Bobot Mortiz who was also the line producer. In a recent article published by Pilipino Star Ngayon entertainment writer Salve Asis, JLC and Direk Bobot’s separation was not quite good.
Allegedly, the show ended without the director’s knowing. “As in galit na galit daw si Direk Bobot sa actor dahil nagulat ito nung biglang last taping na sila ng comedy show na Happy ToGetHer na napapanood sa GMA 7,” the entertainment writer shared in her article.
With this, it was said that the actor just left them hanging. Direk Bobot, as the director of the show, brought along with him some Kapamilya stars like Miles Ocampo, Jayson Gainza, and Janus del Prado.
Reportedly the show was doing well, including the commercial load, and allegedly, this is the reason why the production team was surprised when John Lloyd announced the final episode.
“Maalalang naglabas last August ng statement ang GMA 7 na ang Kapuso weekend sitcom na Happy ToGetHer will officially conclude at the end of this season. Last Aug. 6 ang last episode nila,” Asis shared.
She also said that Direk Bobot had no idea about this. The entertainment writer also shared that based on her source, John Lloyd Cruz, as of now, does not want to work yet because he is supposed to be happy being an ordinary citizen.
As of writing, John Lloyd and Direk Bobot haven’t spoken yet about this issue. However, previously, rumors surfaced that the A-list actor did not like how the script was written and so he chose to end the show.
