It is known to many that both Enchong Dee and Paul Soriano were very vocal about their political stands in the last 2022 elections. The actor supported former Vice President Leni Robredo as his candidate for president while Direk Paul’s winning candidate was President Bongbong Marcos.

Despite the political differences, Enchong did a project with the director and this showed their professionalism. In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, the actor said that he is happy to have the chance to work with the director.

“Naku, nakakatuwa! Kasi nu’ng time na yon, isa siya sa mga producers at directors na in-embrace ako. It was a sensitive year for a lot of us pero nag-focus lang kami sa trabaho. And because of that, yung dahilan na nag-focus lang ako sa trabaho, nakaabot kami sa China, nakaabot kami sa Japan,” he said.

Enchong added that this project has become a blessing for them. He also believes that the situation is in the healing process already. The actor stressed that this is needed and that healing is the reason why he can smile.

Meanwhile, Enchong Dee is also set to do a movie next year and this will be his first international acting project. He shared that they just finished the actors’ strike in Hollywood. “Finally, dahil tapos na siya, we can start onboarding SAG actors,” he enthused.
