Speculations surfaced that Michelle Dee was supposed to be included in the Miss Universe 2023 Top 5 after netizens saw this post.

Michelle concluded her Miss Universe journey in the Top 10 round. She was joined by candidates from Puerto Rico, Thailand, Peru, Columbia, Nicaragua, Philippines, El Salvador, Venezuela, Australia, and Spain.

However, despite the optimism that her fans and supporters have that she will be in the Top 5, Michelle was not called to be one of the candidates who will be in the Q&A portion.

After the pageant, Michelle Dee showed grace and sportsmanship to accept the result. She said that it is all about destiny. However, she said that it was just a regretful thing that she was not able to hold the microphone for the question and answer portion of Miss Universe 2023 because she is confident that she will slay it.

Many Pinoy pageant fans felt dismayed that Michelle did not make it to the Top 5 while some just accepted that it was not meant to be.

On the other hand, a fan page of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach shared on X a screenshot of the supposed Top 5 with Michelle’s name on it. “A mix-up from MU in El Salvador IG page was posted seeing MMD in the Top 5 instead of Thailand. This was deleted now and replaced with a new one. What is this [behavior]???” the fan page wrote in the caption of the post.

This garnered different reactions from other netizens. There were those who said that it was a cooking show while some said that they did not understand what happened as well.

A netizen who commented on this showed a screenshot of the supposed first post that included the Miss Philippines and was deleted, and the second post which showed that that Michelle was replaced by the candidate from Thailand. Michelle’s BFF actress Rhian Ramos also shared an intriguing post as she said, “something fishy.”
