Is it true that Star Magic is no longer handling celebrity couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla?
Kathryn and Daniel have been under the Kapamilya talent management company for many years already. They are known together as the KathNiel loveteam, one of the top tandems of their generation.
They did various projects together under their home network and the talent management company handling their career.
Just recently, Star Magic received criticism from netizens, especially from the fans of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. It is because of the breakup rumors that talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz mentioned in his Showbiz Update vlog.
KathNiel fans pointed out that Star Magic should do something about Ogie, who they called a “fake news peddler.” For the fans, Star Magic is not paying attention to the talents that it is handling and could not even defend the celebrity couple against intrigues.
However, based on the article by entertainment writer Salve Asis in Pilipino Star Ngayon, it was said that Kathryn and Daniel are no longer under Star Magic.
“May nabanggit ang isang source na wala na nga diumano si Kathryn sa Star Magic. Ganun din daw si Daniel Padilla,” the entertainment columnist wrote in her article. Asis added that she contacted someone from Star Magic to confirm or verify this claim, however, as of writing, there is no response yet.
Meanwhile, Kathryn said that she is not pressuring herself now to be a “good girl.” “Nung tumanda ako, I [no longer think] of the pressure of being a ‘good girl,’ because I don’t want to be good just because I have to be good. I don’t want to lose myself,” the A Very Good Girl actress said.
She stressed that she does not want to be good because she has to do it. As long as she is not stepping on any person, then, Kathryn said that she is okay with this. She has this conviction, especially now because she knows herself more. “So I don’t have to please everybody. I just do things that make me happy,” the actress stressed.
