The first international movie of Liza Soberano is set to be released next year

The Hollywood movie Lisa Frankenstein which features Liza Soberano is set to be released in February 2024.

Back in 2022, it was announced that Liza would have her first international movie. This came after she started pursuing her career in Hollywood. Liza’s decision to go international received polarizing reactions.

There were those who showed support for her but there were also those who were apprehensive about her decision to leave her former manager Ogie Diaz and sign with James Reid’s Careless Music and go international.

One of her first international projects was Lisa Frankenstein. The shoot was already finished back in September 2022. She played the role of Taffy, the step-sister of Lisa, the main character, who is played by Kathryn Newton.

However, there was no news after that. In a recent article published in The Philippine Star, it was stated that the Film studio Focus Features announced that the movie is set to be released on February 9, 2024. This will be in the US.

Most probably, Liza Soberano’s first international movie will be released in the Philippines a week before Valentine’s Day.

The movie synopsis states, “After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness… and a few missing body parts along the way.” Here’s the movie teaser.

Lisa Frankenstein is written by Diablo Cody who also wrote the movie Juno. Liza’s first international movie was directed by Zelda Williams, the daughter of Robin Williams.

Previously, Liza Soberano also expressed that she wants to penetrate the entertainment industry in South Korea. Her former manager already expressed this before and the actress has been going back and forth to the said country. She also appeared in some shows there.
