Enchong Dee talked about how determined he was for this role
Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee revealed that his Padre Zamora role in the movie GomBurza was “muntik pang mawala.”
Enchong has done various roles in series and movies over the course of his career in the entertainment industry. Through his projects, he showed his versatility in playing even roles that were unexpected for him to do.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Enchong shared something about his recent project. He revealed that he almost lost this stint.
The actor fought for this role and he said that someday, he will be able to talk more about this. “You can say that I had to sort of audition for it because there was a time when I had the role, and then I didn’t, and then I got it back again. Yes, muntik pang mawala!” Enchong Dee revealed.
He said that because of the casting process and probably because it was seen how determined he was to be part of this project, the role was given to him.
Enchong also shared that working on this project was very memorable for him. He was also excited about the fact that they had a historian, a Spanish language coach, and an acting coach while filming.
The actor also underscored that they have a very collaborative director and he feels privileged to have this kind of experience. “I’m glad I really fought to get this role,” he said.
Enchong Dee also revealed that he learned a lot from veteran actor Dante Rivero who is Mariano Gomez in the movie. Jose Burgos is played by Cedrick Juan.
The Kapamilya star said that by looking at the veteran actor, he already learned a lot. He was also honored to work with Cedrick who has done indie films and brought his knowledge to their set. “I enjoyed working with them because I was learning at the same time,” Enchong shared.
