Actress LJ Reyes and her non-showbiz partner Philip Evangelista got married on October 8, 5 PM (Philippine time) in New York and a source revealed what happened during the event.
Last May, LJ shared that she was engaged to Philip through an Instagram post. This somehow surprised her fans in the Philippines because, before this, she was quite inactive on social media and did not share anything about the status of her love life.
It is known to many that LJ’s breakup with actor Paolo Contis was quite controversial. Following their separation, the actress went to New York with her son Aki and her daughter Summer.
LJ Reyes shared a glimpse of her wedding preparation and the bridal shower she received from her friends. Their prenuptial video also caught the attention of many netizens as it was done so romantically.
Based on the article by entertainment writer Salve Asis in Pang-Masa, LJ and Philip’s wedding only had 100 guests, a relative of the actress is the source of this information. It was that the event was “super fan” even though it rained.
The source also shared that the wedding was held at the property owned by Philip’s boss at the Northport Village in Long Island, New York. LJ’s husband is in the real estate business.
It was also revealed by the source that LJ’s relatives who were not able to attend the wedding watched the event via live streaming. The wedding entourage was minimal as well.
“Nag-flower girl lang po ‘yung anak ni LJ na bunso (Summer), sumunod si Aki, then ung anak na ni Phil. And sunod na si LJ,” the source shared, adding that the ceremony only lasted for 25 minutes.
