Alessandra de Rossi talked about the roles she prefers
Award-winning actress Alessandra de Rossi revealed the reason why she did not regret not accepting this kind of role.
Alessandra’s acting caliber is something that many fans and her fellow celebrities admire about her. Over the years, she showed that she deserves her rightful spot in the entertainment industry.
Her recent movie project is Firefly which is under GMA Pictures. The management of the Kapuso network’s film company aims for this movie to be part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023.
In a recent interview, Alessandra de Rossi shared that it was easy for her to accept this offer. This is her chance to work again with her friend director Zig Dulay. The actress also said that the story is good as well and this is one of the main reasons why she said “yes.”
“Matagal ko nang gustong gumawa ng pelikula na may bida na bata na touching at heart-warming. So sabi ko, perfect ito. Saka maganda talaga yung kuwento,” she shared.
Then, she shared that she was able to stand by her decision not to accept “kontrabida” roles. Alessandra said that when she was doing antagonist roles, her well-being was really affected.
“Sumasama ang katawan ko kasi lagi kang galit, hindi ka naman nagagalit in real life so meron kang mga acidity, nagpapa-palpitate ako, every other day kasi [ang taping]. Sabi ko, ayoko na nang ganito,” the actress said.
However, when she stopped doing kontrabida roles, she became okay. She recalled that her decision was fortified by her Kita Kita movie with Empoy Marquez. It was a big hit which showed that she could do successful projects without putting her well-being at risk.
“Kasi before, talagang no lahat. Even before Kita-Kita was made, hirap-hirap na ako sa [mga] producer dahil no lahat. Mahirap talaga but when it happened, parang, ‘Uy puwede, a.’ Parang tinalikuran mo siya, binigyan ka ng different direction,” Alessandra de Rossi.
Meanwhile, Alessandra’s recent Netflix movie What If? with JM de Guzman received a negative review. With this, the actress said sorry.
