Ruru Madrid is doing another action series
Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid shared the preparation that he made for his new primetime series Black Rider.
Ruru will be featured in another action series. It was previously revealed that his new leading lady is Yassi Pressman. Previously, the actor made revelations about Yassi. Aside from this, they are also paired in the new Viva movie Video City.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Network, the actor shared that he is preparing intently for his new series.
Ruru Madrid shared that among the things he has done for preparation were martial arts training, gun firing, and riding a motorcycle. Since this is an action series, most of the parts are action scenes.
The actor also shared that they want to promote the Pinoy martial arts called Kali. “Siyempre, we also want to promote our Filipino martial arts which is ‘yung Kali po. Karamihan po ng mga fight scenes ko dito, ‘yun po ‘yung gamit ko,” Ruru said.
Aside from the hand-to-hand command, the action scenes in his new series will also showcase parts in which he will use a gun. This is different from his previous action sereis Lolong.
“Kumbaga sa Lolong kasi, karamihan dun parang hand-to-hand combat and arnis. But this time, talaga pong kumpleto na, may baril, may itak, may kutsilyo, lahat-lahat,” he said.
Ruru also shared that he spent six months training for the action scenes in Black Rider. Matteo Guidicelli is also part of the cast.
Meanwhile, in a previous interview, Ruru Madrid candidly shared that he courted his Grade 5 teacher. At a young age, he was kind of serious because he really saved his money to give flowers to his teacher.
