Erik Santos is grateful for his 20 years in the industry
Singer Erik Santos expressed gratitude to OPM icons who became part of his two decades in the entertainment industry.
Erik has paved his way to stardom because of his talent. From being a contestant in a singing competition, his career skyrocketed after winning and now he is one of the best balladeers in the Philippines.
With everything that he has achieved in his music career, he will never forget those who helped him in his journey.
Based on the article in PUSH, Erik Santos celebrated his 20th anniversary in the Kapamilya musical variety show ASAP Natin ‘To. During the celebration, he recalled that on that exact stage, his singing career started.
“I just want to say na my singing career was born on this very exact stage dito po sa ASAP. Paulit-ulit ko pong sasabihin na ang ‘ASAP’ po ang nagluwal sa aking singing career,” he said.
One by one, Erik also thanked the OPM icons he worked with over the years. He thanked Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano and Concert King Martin Nievera who sang during his father’s funeral.
He also commended Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla who is a big part of his career and has been there with him through ups and downs. Then, he mentioned the power couple Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez and prominent singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid.
“Si Ate Reg po at si Kuya Ogie, sila po yung dalawang artist na nung nagsisimula po ako, nag-guest po sa akin sa isang major concert. May mga artist po na humindi po sa akin pero sila pong dalawa yung nagpatikim po sa akin kung ano yung pakiramdam na mag-perform sa Araneta Coliseum,” the singer said.
Erik Santos will have a 20th-anniversary concert on October 6 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Meanwhile, the singer recently had a sad moment in his life when his mother passed away. He wrote an emotional tribute to his mom and this broke many netizens’ hearts.
