There are few moments in sports as thrilling as a one-punch knockout, and these are the most impactful and astonishing among them. To earn a place in this category, the knockout must not only be visually spectacular and filled with drama, but it must truly be a single, devastating punch that comes seemingly out of nowhere, ultimately determining the outcome of the contest.

Recently, a boxer hailing from Iligan City left boxing enthusiasts in awe as he sent his opponent crashing to the canvas with just one punch right at the beginning of the round. Eduardo Mancito captivated the audience and the judges when he swiftly ended his match against Prell Tupas from Mandaluyong City in a mere second.
In a video shared by the sports channel “Powcast” on YouTube, you can witness the moment when Mancito, amidst their engagement, unexpectedly unleashed a mighty punch on Tupas immediately after the bell had rung. Struck by this solitary blow, Tupas was left trembling and eventually fell to the mat.
The referee initiated the count as the Mandaluyong boxer remained down. Mancito was declared the victor by knockout when Tupas failed to rise to his feet before the count reached ten. The fight was one of the bout in ‘Unang Sigaw Bakbabakan sa San Isidro, Nueva Ecija’ in JF Sports Complex, San Isidro, Nueva Ecija.

A one-punch knockout is indeed a possibility, but it is not a frequent occurrence in most combat sports. Knockouts usually result from a combination of factors, such as the force behind the punch, the precise location on the head where the blow lands, and the physical condition of the person being hit.
For instance, a punch to the chin or temple is more likely to induce a knockout than one to the nose or cheek. Furthermore, a punch delivered by a larger and stronger individual is more likely to result in a knockout compared to a punch from someone smaller and less powerful.
