Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes, one of the most popular actresses of her generation, reacted to being called the “Next Important Star”.
Andrea has come a long way from being a child star. She is the lead star in the upcoming Kapamilya TV series Senior High. In this project, she is paired with actor Kyle Echarri. Their tandem is known as KyDrea.
In a previous vlog, Andrea said that she is happy that Kyle is back in her life. They have been friends for quite a long time now but there was a time when they lost connection.
Now that they are being paired in a new project, Andrea Brillantes stressed that she and Kyle Echarri are not officially a loveteam, based on the article in PEP. “Ang magagawa lang namin is to clarify sa lahat ng tao na di talaga kami love team and we are really best friends. Wala naman kaming pinapaasa na tao,” the actress said.
However, they are happy about the warm response from fans for the KyDrea tandem but they stressed that they are not selling a loveteam.
During the same interview, Andrea was also asked about her new tag, the “Next Important Star” and this is because of the good projects she has been receiving. When asked if she feels pressured because of this, the actress answered, “Wala naman, wala namang presure sa akin kasi mas focus lang kasi ako sa work ko. Enjoying and loving my work.”
The actress added that she is not perceiving her work as something like the next big star. On the other hand, she admitted that it is good to dream of this kind of status.
“Pero every time na may gagawin ako, tinitingnan ko na blessing yun sa akin at sa pamilya ko. Bilang breadwinner pa rin hanggang ngayon, mas tinitingnan ko na trabaho at artista ako, lagi ko pa ring gagalingan,” Andrea explained.
She stressed that if she would not be the next big star, it is still fine with her. This is her perspective when it comes to her career. Andrea Brillantes said that she is never driven by the aspiration of being the next big star because she is just doing her best to give justice to the roles given to her.
