The snack brand that is known for its flavored french fries caught the attention of the online community just recently. It is because of the job criteria and qualifications that the Facebook Page of the branch in Ventura Mall shared.

In the post, many qualifications were listed and netizens noticed that the company appeared to be looking for the next Miss Universe.

This did not sit well with many netizens. The snack brand received criticism as it posted what appeared to be a discriminatory job offer. Following the backlash, the company released a statement. Potato Corner said that it never condones this kind of negative way in hiring employees as it promotes diversity and inclusivity.

Despite the statement that was released to clarify the company’s stand regarding this issue, Potato Corner Memes continue to circulate online. Many netizens shared edited photos and videos showcasing the snack brand as an employer.

There were memes showing Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray as an applicant who got hired. An edited video also showed that beauty pageant contestants in the Philippines were having their opening number and the official jingle of Potato Corner was used as background music.
