Paolo Contis was asked about his ex-girlfriend and his current girlfriend
Kapuso actor Paolo Contis said that he sees himself marrying his girlfriend actress Yen Santos in the future but he has to do certain things first.
In a recent interview after Paolo’s look test for his upcoming movie Fuchsia Libre, he was asked about his ex-girlfriend LJ Reyes who is now engaged to her non-showbiz boyfriend Philip Evangelista.
Previously, after LJ’s engagement announcement, Paolo expressed that he is happy for the actress and that she deserves to be happy.
Paolo Contis had the same answer when he was asked about his ex-girlfriend once again. “I’m very happy for her na nakita niya yung pag-ibig and I don’t have anything bad to say, di ba?” the actor said, based on the article in PEP. He added that LJ has the right to be happy.
When asked if he is also thinking of settling down, he said that the right time will come for this. He shared that everything that is happening to him right now, and all the blessings he receives are part of his preparation for the future.
“And then, kapag ang lahat ng bagay maayos, that’s the only time we can think about that. Kasi, siyempre ayokong maging unfair sa lahat ng parties,” the actor said. He is talking about the matters concerning his three children, two with his estranged wife Lian Paz, and one with LJ Reyes.
Paolo said that Yen deserves to be in a situation where everything is already ironed out before they eventually plan for their future together.
When asked if he sees that Yen will be his life partner, the actor said, “Oo naman! Bakit hindi, di ba? I mean, yung pinagdaanan naman… oo. And she’s a very, very good person. Katulad ng sinabi ko, she deserves a clean slate.”
