In a recent interview video that was shared on the official YouTube channel of PEP, Coleen Garcia shared that she can relate to her character in Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko.
She said that upon reading the script, many times she said that she can relate to the character. The actress added that a lot of people can relate to her character also, especially those who felt that they don’t have enough self-confidence because of not feeling enough love from the people around.
“Kulang ka sa love, parang sa physical affection, mga words of affirmation, ganun. Kung kulang ka ng ganun growing up which ako medyo ganun,” she said.
Having this experience in the past creates doubt in the mind, Coleen said. She also said that this creates unsure feelings and emotions. The actress said that her character can be seen doing decisions that reflect her past experiences. She added that her character’s behavior can be traced back to what she went through.
When it comes to “pagsuko,” Coleen Garcia admitted that she also had moments when she gave up. “Lahat naman siguro tayo may sinukuan na,” she said.
