Rendon Labador Criticized the Controversial Logo of PAGCOR
Social media personality Rendon Labador reacts to the new logo of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
Rendon Labador, known for his forthright approach, expresses his disapproval of PAGCOR’s new emblem. The introduction of PAGCOR’s 40th-anniversary logo has been met with scrutiny and controversy.
The online community is calling its design and the alleged budget spent on its construction into question. A letter about the acquisition of the new logo design for PAGCOR, issued to Mr. Francisco D. Doplon, disclosed that they spent P3,035,714.28 on the production of the logo.
Rendon Labador, a social media star, expressed his displeasure in the comment area of the Philippine Star’s story. Rendon stated bluntly, “Sobrang panget ng logo! “Gawa ng grade one.”
The PAGCOR commemorated its 40th anniversary on Tuesday by displaying their new logo to the public. President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez were also present at the ceremony.
Alejandro H Tengco, Chairman and CEO of PAGCOR, had the distinction of delivering the logo to the distinguished guest. Tengco explained the new PAGCOR logo’s design, adding that it incorporates the element of fire, which represents energy, inspiration, passion, and transformation.
The logo’s flame represents the spark that sparks change and promotes progress. Furthermore, the logo depicts a beacon, which represents guidance, leadership, and direction. It acts as a guiding light to assist people find their way.
