Michael V Says GMA will Allow Him to Guest in 3 Noontime Shows
Veteran comedian Michael V claims the GMA network will allow him to guest in three noontime shows if being asked to.
During a press conference for the country’s longest-running humor show, ‘Bubble Gang,’ Bitoy addressed the likelihood of him appearing on the noontime shows amid their contentious circumstances. The comedian is among those who are grieved by the recent feud between the hosts of TVJ and the management of TAPE Inc.
It should be noted that TVJ and the Dabarkads parted ways with TAPE, Inc., the show’s producer, on May 31 owing to irreconcilable differences. ‘Eat Bulaga!’ was released on June 5.’ returned to the airwaves with a new lineup of anchors led by Paolo Contis and Isko Moreno.
The former Eat Bulaga host was questioned about what happened to Eat Bulaga! because he was also a part of the program for many years. Bitoy was among many who were disappointed by how swiftly events unfolded.
However, he saw a silver lining in the scenario, as it could lead to an increase in the number of noontime shows available to viewers. ‘E.A.T.,’ a new TVJ show, takes up the timeslot previously occupied by ‘It’s Showtime,’ on TV5.
On the same day, ‘It’s Showtime’ aired on GTV, a GMA Network subsidiary channel. As a result, the Kapuso comic was asked to appear on any noontime show.
He feels that GMA Network will undoubtedly enable him to do so if he receives proper clearance from management. He also responded to the topic of whether he will join TVJ.
“Parang feeling ko kailangan pa ring magpaalam kasi at this point under contract ako [with GMA-7]. May network contract ako,” he answered. “For approval naman ’yan palagi saka maluwag naman ang network sa mga guesting-guesting na ganyan especially if I have something to promote. Kung talagang kailangan ’yong millage, I don’t think they will mind.”
“Hahaha! Wag n’yo ako papiliin. May Bubble Gang pa ako at Pepito Manaloto. Kailangang alagaan ko ang mga bangkang ito na lulubog. Hahaha!” he said while laughing.
