Isko Moreno Shares Thoughts On “Main Character Syndrome”

Isko Moreno talked about this the “bida-bida” attitude

Actor-turned-politician Isko Moreno shared his thoughts on people with Main Character Syndrome (MCS).

MCS is defined by the Women’s Health website as an “intentional way that a person thinks of themself as the key player in their life and views it through a storytelling lens, like a movie or TV show.”

Having this kind of condition makes the person think highly of themselves and tend to neglect other people’s feelings and views.

In a recent episode of Isko Moreno’s Iskovery Night YouTube show, he shared his thoughts on this matter. He said that there is a negative connotation in this as people think that those having this condition are selfish or obsessed with themselves.

Hindi masamang mahalin ang sarili. In fact, paano ka makakapagmahal ng iba kung hindi mo naman mahal ang iyong sarili. I think, ‘yung pagiging self-centered, 2 ways ‘yan…when you are self-centered for yourself, tingin ko hindi masama kasi pinagbubuti mo ‘yung sarili mo and you value ‘yung character mo,” the former Manila Mayor said.

Isko also stressed that it is important to consider the feeling of other people. He added that a person should remember that he or she still needs the help of other people one way or the other. “Kailangan mo pa rin ng tulong..hindi ka makakapamuhay nang mag-isa lang,” the actor said.

Meanwhile, Isko Moreno has fully returned to showbiz after his failed presidential candidacy in the 2022 elections. He is currently one of the hosts of the Kapuso noontime show Eat Bulaga which is previously led by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

In a previous interview, Isko shared that he reached out to TVJ when he accepted this hosting stint.
