Carlo Aquino talked about his showbiz journey
Kapamilya actor Carlo Aquino admitted that he thought of quitting showbiz and having a different life away from the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry.
Carlo has been in the industry for more than half of his life. He started his acting career at a young age and continued until he became a teenager and eventually became one of the most sought-after leading men.
In a recent media conference for his new series Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko on Viva One streaming app, based on the article in Bandera, Carlo revealed that there are some “panghihinayang” he has when it comes to the opportunities he let pass him.
It is because of the doubt he has in himself. Carlo Aquino shared that there were several projects he chose not to accept. “Yung mga past projects ko na hinindian nu’ng nag-lie low ako pinanghinayangan ko. Kasi medyo matagal din yon, mga two years. Kasi nga takot na takot ako kasi nga hindi ako naniniwala sa sarili ko,” he said.
However, Carlo said that just like his leading lady Ryza Cenon, he did not regret that moment because, for him, that was part of what he had to go through in order to where he is now. “Iba kasi yung nagsisi ka sa nanghinayang ka, di ba?” he said.
Carlo shared that at that time, he was thinking of migrating to the U.S. “Magpapa-adopt ako sa uncle ko. Pero mabuti na lang din hindi ko itinuloy kasi nga mahal na mahal ko yung ginagawa ko, yung trabaho ko,” the actor said.
He admitted that he was thinking of giving up on the thing he loves to do. However, when it comes to love, the actor said that he does not give up. He said that he is always ready to fight when it comes to love.
