GMA Executives met with TAPE and Eat Bulaga host on June 28
GMA executives led by Annette Gozon-Valdes spent time with TAPE Inc. and the hosts of the Kapuso noontime show Eat Bulaga.
The meeting happened on the night of June 28 after the executives of the Kapuso network officially signed the contract with ABS-CBN. The contract signing happened to close the deal between Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime and GTV.
Starting July 1, the Kapamilya show will air on GTV, which is also owned by the Kapuso management.
The announcement came after a few weeks since TAPE introduced the new hosts of Eat Bulaga since TVJ and the legit Dabarkads decided to depart from the Jalosjos-owned production company.
Previously, GMA stated that although the network was saddened by what happened between TVJ and TAPE, it will continue to honor its existing contract with the production company behind Eat Bulaga, which will last until 2024.
Since TV5’s noontime slot was taken over by TVJ, the Kapamilya noontime show had to find a new home and the Kapuso network embrace them.
Following the contract signing between ABS-CBN and GMA, Kapuso executives met with Eat Bulaga hosts and TAPE Inc. In photos shared on the Showbiz Banter’s Twitter page, it can be seen that TAPE Inc chief finance officer Bullet Jalosjos was there. Eat Bulaga hosts were also seen having fun like Paolo Contis.

In the comment section, netizens expressed various reactions. Some said that this showed that business is the Kapuso management’s top priority while there were those who said it is “pampalubag-loob” for TAPE and Eat Bulaga.
