Is it true that Isko Moreno is imitating Willie Revillame?
Eat Bulaga host Isko Moreno reportedly received advice to make his own style and not imitate the hosting style of Wowowin host Willie Revillame.
Isko is one of the new hosts of the Kapuso noontime show after Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, together with the original Dabarkads and staff, decided to leave TAPE Inc.
In a previous statement, the former Manila Mayor shared that he sent a message to TVJ regarding his decision to join the Kapuso noontime show.
Isko Moreno is leading the segment G sa Gedli. “G” means Gaybi which is “Bigay” or give while “Gedli” is “Gilid.” The actor-politician is known for reversing Tagalog words as he is used to using this kind of language because he grew up in Tondo.
Based on the article by entertainment writer Gorgy Rula in Pang-Masa, many viewers are loving Isko’s segment with Buboy Villar. They would go out to the streets and give prizes to random people.
It was said that at times, Isko would give money to the winner from his own pocket. Because of this, it is inevitable that some people would think that he is preparing for his plan to run in 2025.
However, based on a previous report, the former Manila Mayor talked to TAPE Inc and told the management of the noontime show that he has no plan of running the next elections and so he was given a regular hosting stint.
On the other hand, Rula pointed out that there were those who said that Isko Moreno should embrace his own hosting style because he tends to imitate Willie Revillame’s style.
“Meron ding nagku-comment na huwag daw sanang gayahin ni Yorme ang style ni Wilie Revillame. Mas okay ‘yung magkaroon siya ng sariling style at image na mas malapit at mas nagbi-blend sa masa,” the columnist wrote in his article.
