Bong Revilla Reveals His New Sitcom Reflects in His Real-life Story as Husband
Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr admitted that his new sitcom in GMA reflects in his real-life story with wife Lani Mercado.
The actor himself stated that the sitcom ‘Walang Matigas Na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis’ could be based on his own life story. “Actually, itong istorya ng Walang Matigas na Pulis, this is my life story,” he said.
This GMA7 sitcom is based on his two films, ‘Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis’ in 1994 and ‘Yes Darling: Walang Matigas na Pulis 2’ in 1997. Bong also noted that his wife, Congresswoman Lani Mercado, has helped them strengthen their marriage.
“Very understanding na asawa si Lani. Siguro dahil sa sobrang kapilyuhan ni Bong Revilla, kung hindi niya na-accept ‘yung kapilyuhan ko noon, noon ha, siguro wala na. Pero dahil sa kanya, kaya steady kami, matibay ang relasyon,” he said.
“Basta ang importante sa isang relasyon ‘yung pagmamahal at tiwala sa isa’t isa. Maraming pagsubok ang dumadating basta no matter what, kayo pa rin. Kita mo naman kami ni Lani hanggang ngayon kami pa rin.”Bong also mentioned that the problem should not be left unresolved before the day ends,” he added.
Revilla and Mercado married in 1986, and this year marks their 37th wedding anniversary. Senator Bong is also pleased with the popularity of his show. Beauty Gonzalez and Max Collins accompany him.
According to NUTAM People Ratings data, the second episode received 13.4 percent, which is significantly better than the pilot episode’s 12.3 percent rating. Every week, Kapuso viewers continue to support the program. ‘Walang Matig na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis’ airs on GMA every Sunday at 7:50 p.m.
