Top Presidential Bets in 2028: VP Sara, Tulfo, Robredo Lead the SWS Survey

SWS released a result in a recent top presidential bets survey

Here are the top presidential bets in the 2028 elections based on the recent survey released by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).

Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte, Senator Raffy Tulfo, and former vice president Leni Robredo were the top three candidates chosen by respondents to replace the current President Bongbong Marcos.

In the 2022 elections, from being the Vice President, Leni ran for president with former Senator Kiko Pangilinan as her running mate. From being a host of his own TV show and doing YouTube content, Tulfo ran for Senator and his first try for a national position was a success.

In a survey conducted from April 15 to 18 and commissioned by former LPG Marketers’ Association party-list Rep. Arnel Ty, based on the article in Inquirer, the names of VP Sara, Tulfo, and Robredo emerged as the top three choices of 1,200 Pinoys to be the next president.

28 percent of the respondents prefer VP Sara to be the successor of PBBM, while Tulfo got the 11 percent and 6 percent preferred Robredo. The name of former President Rodrigo Duterte is in the number 4 spot with 3 percent.

Other politicians whose names entered in the latest survey are former Senator Manny Pacquiao (2 percent), Senator Robin Padilla (2 percent), former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno (1 percent), President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. (1 percent), Senator Imee Marcos (1 percent), and Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos (1 percent).

SWS explained that the survey used face-to-face computer-assisted personal interviews with 1,200 adults nationwide. 300 respondents are from Metro Manila, as well as from Balance of Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

Based on the report, the sampling has an error margin of ±3% for national percentages and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance of Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

In a recent survey, 41 percent of respondents nationwide either refused to pick a candidate or answered that they were not sure who to vote for.
