Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes appeared to be unbothered amid the breakup issue with basketball player Ricci Rivero.

Andrea and Ricci’s relationship was quite publicized from the very start. They became a couple officially in a public place. The basketball player asked the actress to be his girlfriend during a game.

From that, they became indulgent in sharing details of their relationship and would often share their sweet photos on social media.

For a few months, they seemed to be silent online and just recently, Ricci Rivera appeared to have confirmed his breakup with Andrea Brillantes. He said sorry to those people who felt disappointed in what happened but asked the public not to jump to conclusions.

The basketball player was accused of cheating with beauty queen Leren Mae Bautista who is now serving as a councilor in Los Banos, Laguna.

Amid the cheating accusation, a screenshot of Leren Mae’s statement denying the rumors surfaced online. Andrea has not released a statement yet about this issue but netizens have recalled her past statements about Ricci.

She said in a vlog in 2021 that she would prefer Ricci to be her “tropa” and not “jowa” because of her perception that basketball players are “manloloko.” When they were already together, the actress was asked if she ever imagined that she and Ricci will be in a relationship with each other.

Andrea said that she never imagined being Ricci’s girlfriend because of the “red flags” she saw in him. On the night of June 9, the actress shared a post that caught the attention of many netizens.
