TAPE Inc Appeals to Public to Give Chance to New Eat Bulaga Hosts
Television and Production Exponents Inc (TAPE Inc) appeals to the public to give chance to new hosts of noontime show Eat Bulaga.
During an interview with CNN Philippines, TAPE Inc. chief finance officer Bullet Jalosjos requested viewers to give them a chance to promote newer talents through the noontime show. He stated that their only purpose is to make people happy.
“For all the bashers, sana naman po bigyan n’yo naman po ng pagkakataon ang mga talents namin na ipakita naman po, mapasaya ang mga taong-bayan during this time. Wala po kaming hangarin kung hindi magbigay saya sa ating mga taong-bayan at manunuod,” Jalosjos told CNN Philippines‘ The Source.
Following the resignation of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and the other Eat Bulaga mainstays last week, TAPE Inc. unveiled the show’s new hosts on Monday. Paolo Contis and Buboy Villar, Betong Sumaya, Cassy and Mavi Legaspi, and former “Tropang LOL” host Alexa Miro are among them.
Prior to the premiere of the new Eat Bulaga on Monday, Jalosjos stated that some of its hosts were put under duress and requested to leave the show. He didn’t go into detail. Eat Bulaga trended online on Monday, as netizens expressed conflicting feelings over the news.
In the meantime, TVJ and the former co-hosts announced on Wednesday that they will now produce material for TV5. The mayor of Dapitan City stated that the show’s purpose has always been to provide a platform for individuals to demonstrate their ability.
He went on to say that this was the same possibility that helped musicians like Aiza Seguerra, the well-known duo of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and the TVJ themselves. For the time being, Jalosjos stated that management will deal with what they had. TAPE Inc. is especially pleased with how the show is progressing following the difficulties encountered during preparations, he noted.
