What will happen to It’s Showtime after TVJ’s decision to sign a contract with TV5?
Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime is being anticipated to release a statement about the network transfer of Eat Bulaga’s iconic trio Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
The Kapamilya noontime show is currently airing on the Kapatid network also. Following the announcement that Mediaquest had about its partnership with TVJ, it was rumored that their show on TV5 will occupy the noontime slot.
It was also rumored that the contract of the Kapamilya noontime show with TV5 is set to end on June 30 and the time slot will be taken over by the Dabarkads.
Based on a previous report, it was said that It’s Showtime will just have a delayed telecast on TV5. With this, Pilipino Star Ngayon entertainment columnist Salve Asis stated in her recent article that an ABS-CBN insider clarified that there is no statement from their camp regarding the rumored changes in the Kapamilya noontime show.
Asis shared that some Kapamilya social media pages have been sharing the rumored changes and “fake” statements from the show and its management.
Then, the columnist shared this statement coming from a Kapamilya page: “Sa susunod na buwan ay hindi nyo na matutunghayan ang It’s Showtime sa TV5 tuwing tanghalian. Magkakaroon na lamang ng delayed telecast sa hapon. Samantala patuloy natin makakasama ang It’s Showtime family tuwing tanghali sa A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, Kapamilya Channel at iWantTFC.”
As of writing, It’s Showtime hosts are still silent about these rumors about their show. The Kapamilya noontime show is set to celebrate its 14th anniversary this year.
