Lolit Solis fires back at the bashers of Paolo Contis
Veteran showbiz writer Lolit Solis asked the bashers of Kapuso actor Paolo Contis if they can’t give him a second chance.
It is known wot many showbiz fans that for several instances, Paolo’s name trended on social media because of a negative reason. He received bashing when it comes to his past and present love life.
The recent bashing that he received was because of his new hosting stint. On Monday, he was introduced as one of the hosts who replaced TVJ and the Dabarkads in the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Netizens expressed negative reactions to the new hosts as well as how the noontime show was done. In a previous write-up that Lolit Solis shared, she defended Paolo Contis for taking the hosting job.
She said that this is work and that Paolo is under the management of Sparkle and his management has the right to give him certain projects.
The criticism against the show and the new hosts continues. In a follow-up write-up about Paolo, Lolit said that he is not defending the actor just because he is her “alaga.” She pointed out that she does not want to intervene with the actor’s personal life and his choice of how he would live his life.
Lolit also said that the bashing seemed to be never-ending as if the actor does not deserve a second chance after committing a mistake. “Bakit ba ayaw tigilan ng mga bitter person si Paolo Contis. Tutoo na may mga nagawa siyang pagkakamali sa buhay niya, hindi ba siya puwede bigyan ng 2nd chance?” she said.
The showbiz writer also reasoned out that usually in a relationship, the other person also has a mistake. She said that it makes her wonder why the bashing against the actor is non-stop.
“Give him a break please. Hayaan naman natin siya makahinga at ma enjoy ang buhay. Unfair naman na diktahan natin siya ng dapat gawin,” Lolit Solis said.
