In an interview with TV5 showbiz writer MJ Marfori, the so-called “Asia’s Multimedia Star” Alden Richards discussed his enigmatic emoji released on Instagram. Alden explains what the “slap face” emoji means.
The actor clarifies whether the emoji is related to the “new Eat Bulaga” or if it just happened to be on the same day as the live return of the long-running noontime show.
According to MJ Marfori’s interview, Alden disputed that the emoji that was purportedly intrigued by netizens had nothing to do with Eat Bulaga. Alden emphasized that the emoji is something particular to him.
“May pinagdaraanan lang na personal pero small things lang naman. Nothing that I can’t handle,” said Alden. “Hindi siya professional-related?” MJ asked pointedly. “Yes, no, no, no, it’s not,” Alden clarified quickly.
“Hindi ‘to sa Eat Bulaga?” the showbiz reporter asked more directly. “No, of course not!” Alden replied with a smile.
At the end of the video, Alden gave a message to TVJ. “To the TVJ, know that kahit ano pa man po ang mangyari, my loyalty ‘yong sarili ko is for them regardless. I’m always looking back do’n sa mga taong nakatulong sa’kin nang malaki, and I think I have the right to defend that, and that’s my stand, because malaki po utang na loob ko sa kanila and my support for them will go until the end of times.”
Alden was one of the hosts of the “former Eat Bulaga,” and everyone knows that it had a big impact on his showbiz career, especially because his team with Maine Mendoza, “AlDub,” became very popular because of the Kalyeserye.
