Grade 11 student Nabbed in Buy-Bust Ops in Valenzuela for Selling Dried “MJ” Leaves
Police authorities arrested a grade 11 student in a buy-bust operation for allegedly selling dried “MJ” (marijuana) leaves in Valenzuela City.
A grade 11 student was arrested when authorities in Valenzuela City launched a buy-bust operation. Humpbrey De Vera y Matibag, a High-Value Individual (HVI), grade 11 student, 20, resident of Santolan Road, Gen T De Leon of the aforementioned city, is being held in the Valenzuela City Police detention cell.
According to the Valenzuela City Police inquiry, at around 2:10 a.m., members of the Valenzuela City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), led by P/Capt. Joel Madregalejo was arrested on Santolan Service Road in Gen T De Leon.
According to the police report, an undercover investigator claimed to be a narcotics buyer and was able to conduct a deal with the suspect. When the suspect turned over the acquired drugs to the undercover cop, he was quickly apprehended by another cop who had encircled the area.
Three self-sealed transparent plastics holding dried marijuana leaves, three transparent plastic wrap bricks containing dried marijuana leaves, buy-bust money, P150 pesos, a black sling bag, and a Vivo android phone were recovered from the suspect. According to reports, the illegal substances were valued at P78,800.
Under Article II of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the suspect will be charged with violation of Section 5, Sale, Trading, Administration, Dispensation, Delivery, Distribution, and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs and/or Controlled Precursors and Essential Chemicals, and Section 11 Possession of Dangerous Drugs.
