Radio Broadcaster Shot Dead by Riding-in-Tandem in Calapan City

A radio broadcaster died after allegedly being shot by unknown riding-in-tandem suspects in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

According to the Philippine National Police (PNP), a radio broadcaster was slain after being shot. According to the police report, the victim, Cresenciano Bunduquin, 50, was attacked around 4:20 a.m. by two unidentified intruders.

The Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA stated in a statement that one of the two suspects riding a motorcycle shot Bunduquin in front of a sari-sari store. According to PRO MIMAROPA, Bunduquin was transported to the nearest hospital but was found deceased on arrival.

According to the report, the individuals who escaped after committing the crime are currently being chased by a hot pursuit operation. PRO MIMAROPA Chief Police Brigadier General Joel Doria stated that a task force for the aforementioned case has been constituted, which would be led by Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office Chief Police Colonel Samuel Delorino.

Maranan, who also serves as the principal focal point for the Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS), stated that the PNP is contacting Bunduquin’s relatives and coworkers to acquire further information. Bunduquin is a radio pundit for DWXR 101.7 Kalahi FM MUX Online Radio, according to PRO MIMAROPA.
