Moira dela Torre and Jason Hernandez’s marriage now null and void?
Musician Jason Hernandez, the ex-partner of singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre, is now facing a concubinage issue because of his recent sweet photos with an identified woman.
After three years of being a married couple, the former couple confirmed their breakup. The confirmation happened following rumors that their marriage was on the rocks and the initial denial that they made.
Then, Moira’s transformation happened. The Paubaya singer has been sharing photos of her fitter figure and netizens noticed her glow.
Just recently, Jason’s social media post caught netizen’s attention. He shared a photo of a woman wearing a cap that hid her face. Some thought that it was his ex-partner but the singer-songwriter denied that she was the woman in the photo.
With this, she debunked the speculations that they got back together. Jason continued posting about the mystery woman in his life now.
The recent one that he shared had the caption saying that the woman saved him. Once again this caught the attention of many netizens. However, there were some who pointed out that a concubinage case may be filed against him, based on the article by Pang-Masa entertainment writer Salve Asis.
Based on Philippine Commission on Women, concubinage has this definition:
“On the other hand, concubinage, as defined under Article 334 of the RPC, is committed by a married husband by (a) keeping a mistress in the conjugal dwelling; (b) having s=xual intercourse under scandalous circumstances with a woman who is not his wife; or (c) cohabiting with her in any other place.”
There were also those who asked if Jason and Moira’s marriage was already annulled and so he started posting photos with another woman.
The entertainment writer also took notice of the positive comments on Jason’s posts with a woman. However, Asis said that it is possible that their marriage was already annulled or it could be null and void when they tied the knot in 2019.
“Ang isang sure, umingay ang pangalan ni Marvin (Jason) Hernandez sa social media dahil sa kontrobersyang paghihiwalay nila ni Moira,” the entertainment writer said.
