A kasambahay or housemaid goes viral on social media over her tearful reactions after passing the board exam for teachers.
When she finally realized her dream of becoming a teacher, a home assistant or ‘kasambahay’ couldn’t suppress her emotions. Yanyan De Vera-Alandy, her employer, shared a video of the beautiful moment of her reaction, which was filled with shouts, jumps, and tears of pleasure, on tape. She is also pleased with her helper’s success.
“Congratulations, teacher ka na!” exclaimed Yanyan to Joan.
Joan Managuelod Ramirez is one of 48,005 examinees out of 102,272 who passed the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) Secondary Level, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday, May 19.
Joan’s scholastic path led her to a secondary education degree from Isabela State University – Angadanan Campus. She juggled her academics and her responsibilities as a kasambahay admirably, demonstrating her passion and willingness to tackle the hurdles that come with seeking higher education.
Joan, according to her manager, is a dedicated worker who has earned all of her achievements. Joan described how she had always wanted to be a teacher since she enjoyed working with children.
But what really warms my heart is that her motivation to work hard and succeed is to get out of poverty. She feels that education will help them improve their life. So, despite her financial difficulties, she worked hard to complete her studies.
While Joan’s accomplishment is significant in her path, she has stated that she will not be quitting her job as a housekeeper right now. Instead, she plans to keep working in that capacity while aggressively seeking a full-time teaching post in a school. Joan also wishes to obtain a master’s degree with the help of God, demonstrating her dedication to personal and professional development.
